"Having compassion for ourselves starts and ends with having compassion for all those unwanted parts of ourselves. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy"
- Pema Chodron
"No man remains quite what he was when he recognizes himself".
Psychoanalytical psychotherapy is the experience of looking deeply at your life and helping you uncover your true potential within the context of a therapeutic relationship. We will have the opportunity to go beyond observable symptoms and listen for the deeper meaning behind them and how they came to be in the first place. This often requires a thoughtful discovery of childhood patterns, dynamics and ways of being that while may have helpful in the past, now pose limitations and blocks to your present and future.
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By understanding your past, we will discover patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life in personal and professional relationships.
Psychoanalytical psychotherapy is conducted in my office at several times a week, weekly or other interval mutually arrived at by us. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
Please call or email me for an individual psychotherapy consultation today. I look forward to speaking and working with you.
